St. Francois County, Mo. (KFMO) - A winter weather system is likely to bring light snow to the Parkland beginning Thursday evening and continuing into Friday.
Forecasters anticipate 1-3 inches of snow accumulation, with the highest amounts expected along and southeast of Interstate 44 in Missouri. Southern areas of the Parkland could see locally higher snowfall totals, but confidence in the accumulation forecast remains low. The total amount of snow will depend on the speed of the storm system and how quickly it exits the area. A faster-moving storm could lead to lower snowfall totals. Timing for the snow remains uncertain.
Accumulation could begin as early as Thursday evening or hold off until after midnight. Similarly, snow may taper off by noon on Friday or persist throughout the day.Stay tuned to KFMO B104 News for updates as the system develops.
