St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Louis Blues had a solid weekend, netting 12 goals and 2 wins as the playoff race heats up.
On Saturday, St. Louis went on the road and defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-1. Jordan Kyrou picked up a hat trick, scoring 3 goals on 3 shots. Jake Neighbors and Brayden Schenn provided the other 2 goals.
On Sunday, the Blues returned to St. Louis and once again won in a blowout, defeating the Anaheim Ducks 7-2. Seven different Blues scored goals in the win, with Kyrou picking up assists on 3 of them.
The Blues pick up two important wins in their attempt to get back into the playoff race. St. Louis is currently tied for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference with the Vancouver Canucks; however, the Canucks currently hold the tiebreaker.
The Blues are on the road Tuesday at Nashville.
