Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The Central Rebels snapped a 3-game losing streak on Tuesday, defeating DeSoto 52-48.
The Dragons (1-5) took their first lead of the game at 4-2 and led the entirety of the first half, leading at the break 32-30. However, the Rebels (3-4) made adjustments in the locker room, outscoring DeSoto in the 3rd 16-4 and allowing for just one made shot from the field.
Central led by as many as 10 points in the second half, but DeSoto made a final effort at reclaiming the lead, getting as close as 3 points in the game's final minutes. The Rebels would ultimately hang out, breaking their losing streak with a 52-48 victory.
Chris Westley led Central in scoring with 18, Gage Albertson added 11. DeSoto was led by both Elijah Phipps and Austin Horton, who each had 11 themselves.
