Jefferson County, Mo. (KFMO) - A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Old Lemay Ferry Road and Vogel Road in Jefferson County left one driver with moderate injuries on Saturday afternoon.
The accident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m., according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The incident involved a 2019 Chrysler 300, driven by a 26-year-old woman from St. Louis, and a 2017 Ford Fusion, driven by a 23-year-old woman from Imperial.
The crash occurred as the Chrysler, traveling westbound on Vogel Road, attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Old Lemay Ferry Road. The driver of the Chrysler failed to yield to the eastbound Ford Fusion, resulting in a collision where the Fusion struck the front right corner of the Chrysler. Both vehicles sustained damage significant enough to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Ford Fusion sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance. The driver of the Chrysler was not injured. Both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
