Bud Norman Memorial Sports Complex Dedicated in Farmington

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Farmington held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the reopening and official dedication of the newly renamed Bud Norman Memorial Sports Complex.

The complex, which has undergone months of renovation since construction began last October, was renamed in honor of the late Bud Norman, a long-time Parks and Recreation Department employee who dedicated nearly five decades to the city. His wife, Donna Norman, spoke at the event, saying Bud spent 47 years serving the community through his work in the department.

Farmington Mayor Chris Morrison called the renaming a significant and meaningful tribute.

Donna Norman added that her late husband would be proud to see the complex bear his name.

The upgraded facility is now officially open to the public, continuing the legacy of community and recreation that Bud Norman helped shape for generations.
