(Park HIlls, MO) The mask order for St. Francois County is set to expire tomorrow as members of the St. Francois County Health Center Board of Directors, meet for their regular monthly meeting. Unless the order is extended, superseded, or amended in writing, it will stay in effect only until the meeting. The Executive Director of the St. Francois County Health Center, Amber Elliot, says if the order to mask up ends she will still recommend wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and staying home if feeling ill.
The board meeting is set for 4 o'clock at the St. Francois County Health Center in Park Hills. The mask order proved a topic of much debate when it was enacted prompting a petition against the order and a possible lawsuit. Both appear to be on hold for the moment.
