Shooting at Possible Drug Deal

(Fenton, Mo.) A 17 year old is in custody as a suspect in a shooting that took place Tuesday, January 21st in Jefferson County. Police think it may have originally been a drug deal turned into a robbery attempt. According to a press release from Jefferson County Sheriff, Dave Marshak, 17 year old Gavin Ross, helped orchestrate a plan to rob another individual during an arranged drug deal in the parking lot of the business plaza in the 1600 block of Old Highway 141 outside Borgetti's Bar and Grill in Fenton. The release also states a 40 year old woman was shot in the leg during the crime. She was treated at a local hospital and released. Ross is charged with 1st degree robbery, a class A felony. He's being held at the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
