Sheriff Crites Gives Update to County Commission

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Sheriff Jeff Crites gave the St. Francois County Commission an update on the latest operations of the Sheriff's Department at the commission's meeting on Tuesday.

Calls for service jumped to 391 in the last week, bringing the total to 4602 for the year to date. In addition, inmate numbers at the St. Francois County jail have also increased, with 137 inmates as of Tuesday, 120 of those are men, while 17 are women. Sheriff Crites says the department has also done quite a bit of training as of late.

Crites also informed the commission that Warrant Wednesday, a social media initiative, was a success, with the individual apprehended within 10 hours of posting.
