Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run

(St. Francois County, MO.) A Farmington man, 36 year old Lee E. Lett, is dead after being struck by an unknown driver Sunday night in St. Francois County. According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident took place at 9:55 as Zachary L. Breakfield was driving a pick up south on Highway D, just south of Sugar Grove Road. A second vehicle was being driven north by an unknown individual. Patrolmen say Lett ran out into the middle of the road and was struck by the 2nd vehicle, then by Breakfiled's pick up. The northbound vehicle fled and Lett was pronounced dead at the scene. KFMO B104 News will have more details on this story as they become available.
