(Farmington, MO.) Residents of Farmington will vote on an extension of the city's transportation and stormwater related sales taxes in the April 2020 elections. The City Administrator for Farmington, Greg Beavers, says they just finished up their fall paving projects and they're asking voters to help the city continue improving and maintaining the integrity of Farmington's streets by voting for the renewal of the transportation tax in April.
Beavers reminds voters the 1/4 cent transportation sales tax, and the 1/4 cent sales tax for parks, recreation, and stormwater, aren't up for renewal until 2022 yet if approved in 2020 it will give city officials time to plan ahead for the best use of the funds.
