Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Farmington residents have a new dining option as Chick-fil-A celebrated its highly anticipated grand opening Thursday. The restaurant, located at 914 Valley Creek Drive on the former Office Max property, welcomed a massive crowd eager to be among its first customers.
Kelly Pierce and her children were one of the first families to place their orders. They arrived at 4 a.m., well before doors opened at 6:30 a.m.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to finally open our doors and start serving Guests at Chick-fil-A Farmington,” said local Owner-Operator Ken Reeder. “Whether you’re enjoying Chick-fil-A for the first time or have your order memorized, we look forward to sharing our great-tasting food and signature hospitality. Our restaurant brings approximately 140 full-and part-time jobs to the area, and we look forward to caring for the Farmington community.”
The drive-thru line backed up to Maple Valley Drive for much of the morning, with Chick-fil-A employees expertly managing the flow of cars.
Farmington City Administrator Greg Beavers previously noted the community’s enthusiasm but also acknowledged potential traffic challenges. “We ask for patience as we complete traffic improvements in the area,” Beavers said in an earlier statement.
Chick-fil-A operates Monday through Saturday, with dining room hours from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the drive-thru open until 10 p.m. It’s already proving to be a popular addition to the city, marking another step in Farmington's growing food and retail landscape.
