Barbecue for Shelter This Friday

Officials with the East Missouri Action Agency are holding a barbecue fundraiser Friday for the Uplift Shelter in Farmington. A Program Manager with the agency, Rob Baker, says the shelter fills up nearly every day and they can use the extra funds to help with expenses.

The barbecue will take place from 11 am to 2 pm Friday on the Uplift Shelter Parking Lot located behind the old Mineral Area Regional Medical Center building off Weber Road in Farmington. You can get your choice of a pork steak, hamburger, or hot dog plate which includes baked beans, chips, and a drink and your choice of coleslaw or potato salad.
