Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - In the Missouri Legislature many bills are moving through committee hearings before being scheduled for debate.
The State Representative for the 118th District, and chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Mike McGirl, says in this session, a lot of the bills being discussed are tax related.
McGirl explains it's not uncommon for legislators to hear enough testimony that hearings can last for hours on a single bill.
