Robert (Bob) LaGesse, of Bonne Terre, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on April 17, 2025.
Bob was born in Kankakee, Illinois on July 21, 1942, to the late Francis and Rose (Serve) LaGesse. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Michael LaGesse. He is survived by his children, son Jamie and Stephanie Lagesse of Park Hills; daughter Audrea Lagesse and Kermit Turner of Potosi; son Bryan Thompson of Bonne Terre; daughter Rene Wegner and Genevieve O'Gorman of Ireland. Grandchildren; Bradley McKenzie, Brody LaGesse, Ava LaGesse, Alivia LaGesse, Keaton Largent, Logan Thompson, Bryan Thompson, Lennon Wegner. Five great grandchildren and nephew Corey and Jennifer LaGesse of Mexico, Missouri and family. Many other special friends and family also survive.
Bob was a retired Union Millwright from the St. Louis Dist. Council. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, wood working, and gardening. He was a volunteer at the Bonne Terre Senior Nutrition Center for many years. Bob never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a big smile and a kind heart. He could make you laugh or be the calm in the storm. He was truly an angel here on earth. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bob will be laid to rest by his parents, and a celebration of life will follow at a later date.
