Paula Annette DeClue of Farmington entered into eternal rest July 21, 2024 at the age of 59. She was born July 24, 1964 to the late Howard Wayne DeClue & late Ruth Ann “Plummer” Downs. She was Blessed with her mother Joyce (Griffith) DeClue from 1966 & later adopted after the death of her father.

Paula is survived by her mother Joyce (Griffith) DeClue. two sons Jason Wayne DeClue, Sr. (Stephanie) of Farmington; AJ Andrew James Metz (Elizabeth Prater) of Belle; 8 grandchildren: Jason, Jr. and Millie Mae, Owen, Nolan, Jaxon, Maddux, Ava and Jackson. Paula leaves behind her life partner Ed Bequette. Also surviving are her siblings, Donna DeClue - Hayman of Farmington, Kevin (Kelly Richardson) DeClue of Park Hills, Stanley (Crystal Withrow) DeClue of Farmington. In addition, she had a half-brother, Jimmy Downs and two half-sisters, Shirley & Monica Downs. She had a special namesake niece, Kylee Annette Brown of Hawaii along with many other nephews and nieces blood kin or otherwise. So many cousins on both sides, too numerous to count. Paula loved her family and friends and enjoyed spoiling them.

In addition to her father and birth mother she is preceded in death by all her grandparents: Leonard DeClue; Bessie Womble of Belleview Mo; Joesph (Alma) Griffith of Coffman; and Letty Griffith of Farmington. Paula has also lost several of her Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Paula always thought the “Church” was each individual’s heart; and through your heart was your relationship with Christ. “So many churches only one heart“,  she said. She was known for her big heart and outgoing sense of humor. She never met a stranger she wouldn’t speak to. She was a force of nature and didn’t do anything halfway but instead went all in, especially when planning events or get-togethers. She enjoyed her grandkids above all else but enjoyed photography, bingo, theme collections, cards, poker, board games, word games and just hanging with family and friends!

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 at Cozean Memorial Chapel with a gathering of friends and family beginning at 1 p.m.  Share your condolences and memories at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
