Yates Performing at Bluegrass Festival

Leadwood, Mo. (KFMO) - Country music performer and songwriter, Billy Yates, is the featured performer for this year's annual Mineral Area Bluegrass Association's 10th Annual Bluegrass Festival.

Yates says he grew up in the town of Doniphan, in southeast Missouri, and has been blessed to work with many different performers including George Jones.

Other acts at the festival include The Baker Family, Final Authority, the West County Concert Choir, Gary Barlow, The Route 67 Band, Peyton Moses, and the Country Fire Cloggers.

The Bluegrass Festival will be held Saturday, October 5 at Leadwood City Park. Gates open that morning at 10 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. There will be plenty of vendors, food trucks, kids activities, a special veteran's ceremony, and more.

Admission for the day is $5 for adults. Kids 12 and under get in free.
