Wrongful Conviction in Missouri

St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) - An imprisoned man who has long maintained his innocence is a step closer to going free.

A judge in St. Louis has overturned the conviction of Christopher Dunn. The 52-year-old man has spent more than 30-years in prison for the 1990 killing of a 15-year-old boy, Dunn has long contended he didn't commit.

Two boys, who said Dunn was the shooter, later recanted. Despite that, the Missouri Attorney General's Office has opposed a motion by St. Louis prosecutors to vacate Dunn's guilty verdict.
