West County April Bond Issue

(Leadwood, MO) Voters in the West County School District will decide the fate of a bond issue in the April elections. The Superintendent of the West County Schools, Dr. Kevin Coffman, says the funds generated would amount to nearly $5 million dollars for renovations and new construction at the Elementary school.

According to Coffman the money would help construct, equip, and furnish additional classrooms, a new main entrance, and help reconfigure the flow of traffic at the Elementary School. To the extent funds are available, the measure would also complete other repairs and improvements to the existing facilities of the District. If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the School District is expected to remain unchanged.
