Washington County Pedestrian Struck

(Washington County, MO) A man from Sullivan, 67 year old James T. Scott, is suffering serious injuries after he was struck by a diesel truck Tuesday at 5pm in Washington County. According to Highway Patrol reports Scott was standing next to a stalled pickup on Southbound Highway 185, south of Hackberry Road, as a diesel truck was being driven north by 34 year old Quenton M. Jenkins of Yukon, Oklahoma. The diesel struck Scott as Jenkins steered right and hit the brakes trying to avoid an accident. Scott was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. Jenkins was not injured.
