Valles Mines Home Fire Damage

(Valles Mines, MO.) No injuries are being reported after a basement fire damaged a home in Valles Mines Tuesday night. According to reports Firefighters from 10 different departments were called out just before 10 o'clock.  The home is off Highway Y near Hillsboro Road. Some sections of the basement are heavily damaged and there's smoke damage in the upstairs area. Firefighters from the Big River/Bonne Terre, Desloge, Park Hills, Farmington, De Soto Rural, Jefferson R-7, Leadington, Lake Timberline and Goose Creek were on scene along with other departments. The home's smoke detector is credited with alerting the family to the blaze so they could get out in time.
