Two Killed in Head-On Collision on MO-32 in Iron County

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A fatal crash on Monday morning claimed the lives of two people and left another seriously injured on Missouri Route 32, eight miles east of Bixby.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m. when a westbound 2011 Toyota Camry attempted to pass another vehicle and collided head-on with an eastbound 2021 Nissan Sentra. The driver of the Camry, a 21-year-old man from Desloge, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old female passenger from Viburnum sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Sentra, a 67-year-old woman from Salem, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene.

Authorities confirmed that none of the individuals involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
