Traffic Fatality in St. Francois County

(St. Francois County, MO) A French Village woman, 58 year old Ruth A, Shepard, is dead after rolling the all terrain vehicle she was driving on Office Road, west of Bookholtz Road, in St, Francois County Sunday morning. According to Highway Patrol Reports the accident took place just before 12:30 am as the ATV ran off the right side of the road and crashed into a tree and a sign, The vehicle came back onto the roadway and then began to roll over, throwing Shepard off. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Shepard was not wearing a safety device when the wreck occurred.
