(St. Francois County, MO) The National Weather service is still surveying the areas hit by Sunday night's tornados. NWS officials have released some information saying their were 3 tornados that caused damage and cut electricity for thousands. Tornados struck southeast of Farmington, at Fredericktown, and in St Mary. The survey teams are still collecting data yet they have said the Fredericktown tornado was of an EF3 Intensity. An EF3 tornado would produce winds of 136 to 165 miles per hour. Authorities are also asking you to stay away from the storm damaged areas. Sightseeing can put you in harm's way and slow the progress of first responders and other emergency services personnel so please stay away from the areas of destruction for your safety and the safety of those involved. So far no injuries or fatalities have been reported.
