(Ste. Genevieve, MO) A social studies teacher at Ste. Genevieve County High School, Theoren Viox, is being recognized among the 2023 Missouri Teacher Leaders of Tomorrow by the Missouri Milken Educators.
Viox learned he was selected for the designation at the 34th Annual Dan Clarks Honors Banquet held by Ste. Genevieve High School. Dr. Rodney Pensel and Dr. Bill Bratburg—both from SEMO’s College of Education, Health and Human Studies—attended to surprise Viox and present him with this recognition in the company of his students and his fellow educators.
All Missouri Teacher Leaders of Tomorrow inductees receive the benefits of one-on-one mentorship from Missouri Milken Leaders, who were all previously recognized by the Milken Family Foundation with the National Milken Educator Award for their impressive achievements. Honorees will have a year of coaching and mentorship and will be able to access the full network of the Missouri Milken Educators. The network serves as a rich resource for fellow educators dedicated to excellence in education.
The Missouri Milken Educators developed the program to recognize 10 teachers across the state. Viox will also be honored at the Missouri State Board of Education meeting on June 11 in Jefferson City.
