(Farmington, MO) St. Francois County Commissioners are talking about placing a satellite office for county business in the northern end of the County. St. Francois County Presiding Commissioner, Harold Gallaher, says having a second office would be a big advantage in a disaster.
According to Gallaher they would use the old Missouri Department of Transportation building, which the county owns, on Raider Road just south of Bonne Terre. The proposal came up during Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting. In other business at the meeting commissioners approved changes in paperwork dealing with a grant application to assist in remodeling the old Mineral Area Regional Medical Center building and it was decided a new phone policy needs to implemented for county workers. The policy will be ironed out soon.
