St. Francois County Fatal Crash Details

(Farmington, MO) More details are coming from officials with the Highway Patrol concerning Friday morning's fatal traffic accident in St. Francois County. According to Troopers a pick up driven by 67 year old Paul E. Smith, of Mineral Point, was driving the wrong way going north in the southbound lanes of Highway 67 at Maple Street at Farmington. Smith's truck crashed head on into a car driven south by 25 year old Joshua R. Boyer, of Fredericktown. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene while Boyer was flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis where he later died.
