(Farmington, MO) Highway Patrol officials are crediting a seat belt with keeping a Farmington man from being seriously hurt after he survived a spectacular crash that blocked Highway D, north of Farmington, Monday night. According to Highway Patrol reports 38 year old Trustin R. Williams, was driving his pick up north on Highway D, at Tillman Trail at 7:20 pm when he lost control of the truck in a curve to the left. The pick up crossed over the center of the road and ran off the left side of the highway. The truck began to rotate clock wise as it ran back onto the highway and then backwards off the right side of the road. It crashed into a culvert, a wooden post, and hit the ground. The truck bounced up, flew through the air, crashed into a group of trees, and rolled over onto its passenger side. Williams received only minor injuries. He was taken to Parkland Health Center. The truck was extensively damaged.
