(Park Hills, MO) Severe weather is possible for this evening across the Parkland.
A broken line of thunderstorms are expected to develop across northern Missouri late morning, early afternoon Tuesday and will track southeast through the region throughout the day.
Damaging winds, with maximum wind gusts as high as 80 m.p.h. or more, will be the most widespread threat, but large hail, up to baseball size, and a few strong tornadoes are also possible.
The most likely time for local impacts across the Parkland are from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. However, the severe threat could diminish in coverage and intensity after 12 a.m.
One thing to note is that it is unclear how far southeast the thunderstorms will be able to maintain their intensity tonight. Thunderstorms may remain a broken line, with uncertainty in how quickly or if the thunderstorms actually fully form into a line. If storms remain more isolated they will pose a greater threat for large hail.
