Sechrest to Continue Serving as Circuit Judge

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Judge Brice Sechrest was elected to serve as Circuit 24, Division 1, Circuit Judge after winning Tuesday’s August Primary by a landslide, beating out current Circuit Judge Jerel Poor, who has held this position for nearly 8 years.

Sechrest’s wide margin win makes this the second win of his career. Unofficial results show he won with 72.078% of the vote. Sechrest was first appointed as a Division 3 judge in 2021, by Governor Mike Parson. He was then elected for the same position, the following year.

The 24th Circuit serves St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Madison and Washington Counties.
