(Kimmswick, MO) The American Countess Riverboat will dock at Kimmswick in Jefferson County Friday. The Executive Director of the Jefferson County Port Authority, Neal Breitweiser, says there are plenty of activities planned at several stops in Jefferson County, for the ship's stay at Kimmswick.
Breitweiser adds the American Countess Riverboat will visit Kimmswick at the public access dock around 10 am Friday. Breitweiser explains he wants to invite everyone to visit the docking site and watch as the American Countess pulls into town. The River Town Sound Quartet will perform at the port to welcome crew and passengers and also later in the day throughout Kimmswick. Officials welcomed the American Duchess Riverboat, of the American Riverboat Company, last month as a part of trial dockings at Kimmswick to help determine if the largest ship in the fleet, The American Queen, can dock there next year.
