St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney's office is collecting restitution for crime victims.
The county's Prosecuting Attorney, Blake Dudley, says sometimes those convicted of a crime must serve jail, or prison, time yet when someone is on parole there's a better chance to collect restitution funds.
Dudley explains the office collected $37,000 in restitution payments since the first of the year and usually collects around $10,000 to $12,000 monthly from convicted felons on parole.
