Prop P Will Increase Pay For Deputies

(St. Francois County, MO) Law Enforcement Officials with the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department encourage voters to vote Yes on Proposition P in the upcoming August Primary Election. The Sheriff's Lieutenant, Mike Ryan, says Proposition P will not only help with officer safety, it will also improve deputy salaries and help keep current deputies at the department.

Proposition P is an Internet Sales Tax that is already being collected by the State of Missouri, but those funds are not being distributed to St. Francois County because it has not been approved by voters. Ryan adds that an increase in funding for the Department will help keep community members and other officers safer when answering to calls.
