Prop P Issue on Future Park Hills Ballot

(Park Hills, MO.) Members of the Park HIlls Police Department are approaching Park Hills Council Members with a proposal to enact a sales tax that would benefit the department. The issue came before the council at Tuesday night's Council meeting. Park Hills City Aministrator, Mark McFarland, says the Fire Department already collects a sales tax for it's benefit and members of the Police Department feel they should as well.

McFarland says the issue won't be put before voters soon. It may not reach a ballot until the August 2020 elections. In other business council members want to remind Park Hills residents the Christmas decoration contest is underway for homes and business in Park Hills. McFarland says if you want your business or home to be judged this year be sure you turn on your Christmas lights. Judging is underway.
