Potosi Police Department Reports Busy 2024, Prepares for 2025

Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - The Potosi Police Department is releasing its activity report for 2024, highlighting a year filled with significant community engagement and law enforcement efforts.

Officers responded to, and initiated, 12,838 calls for service throughout the year, leading to the generation of 1,384 incident reports and 628 arrests. Traffic enforcement remained a key focus, with officers conducting 3,290 traffic stops and issuing 1,832 summons. The department also secured $144,057 in grant funding, which was allocated to hire an additional officer, purchase essential equipment, and provide overtime pay for traffic enforcement initiatives.
