Pandemic Traffic Deaths Over Speed

(St. Francois County, MO) Missouri Department of Transportation officials are asking drivers to slow down and help get the number of traffic fatalities on Missouri roadways down. An Area Engineer for MODOT, Brian Okenfuss, says they saw the fatality rate move upwards during the pandemic.

Traffic fatalities on Missouri highways for 202 were up 12% compared to the previous year.
