Owl Creek Park Grand Opening Cancelled Due to Weather Forecast

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The highly anticipated grand opening of Owl Creek Park, scheduled for Monday, has been cancelled due to an unfavorable weather forecast. A rescheduled date will be announced at a later time.

The event was planned to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the park’s trail system, which includes 1.25 miles of paved asphalt trails and more than three miles of cleared wilderness trails. Visitors will also have access to Big River, adding a scenic and recreational component to the park’s offerings.

Owl Creek Park holds the distinction of being St. Francois County’s first county park, bringing new opportunities for outdoor recreation to the area. Community members are encouraged to stay tuned for updates on the rescheduled celebration, which will mark an exciting addition to local outdoor amenities.
