Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Washington County Crash

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a crash on Route E near Powder Springs Lake Road Wednesday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 46-year-old Centertown resident was riding a 2002 Honda Shadow northbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve, causing the motorcycle to overturn. The rider was ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Emergency responders arrived on the scene, and the injured motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Mercy South Hospital for treatment.

Authorities reported that he was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
