Mineral Point Man in Court

(Washington County, MO) A Mineral Point man, 33 year old Blake Jarvis, will be in Washington County Court July 25th for a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of felony assault and one count of misdemeanor assault involving an incident that occurred last month. Reports indicate Jarvis is alleged to have injured a woman by throwing her into a television and other pieces of furniture. He's also alleged to have strangled the woman. Jarvis is also said to have assaulted a male relative of the woman and when officers arrived he allegedly resisted arrest until he was told they would use a taser to subdue him. Jarvis is currently out of jail on a $100,000 bond.
