Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Mineral Area College (MAC) celebrated its rich athletic history this past weekend with the announcement of the Rotary Club of St. Francois County MAC Athletic Hall of Fame during the 66th Annual Rotary Shootout. MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour expressed his excitement about the event and praised the strong community turnout.
A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Eileen Sechrest Lifetime Contribution to Athletics Award to Roy Henson. Dr. Gilgour explained the significance of the award and its dedication to honoring individuals who have made a lasting impact on MAC athletics.
Gilgour added that Henson has been a beloved figure at MAC, known for providing music at athletic games and for his long-standing service to the college. Also inducted into the Hall of Fame this year were the 2019 Men's Cross Country Team and Arthur Agee, further solidifying the legacy of athletic excellence at Mineral Area College.
