Jefferson County Wreck Injures Two

(Jefferson County, MO) A Park Hills Woman, 50 year old Margie M. Coleman, and a man from Desoto, 50 year old Steven M. Sutton, are recovering from moderate injuries after they were involved in a two vehicle wreck in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon at 3:45. Reports from the Highway Patrol show Coleman was driving a car south, in the left lane of Highway 67 at Long Road, as Sutton's SUV was stopped at the intersection of eastbound long road and southbound U.S. 67. The crash occurred as Sutton pulled into the intersection failing to yield to Coleman's car. The two vehicles collided and both spun out of control. The car and SUV crashed into each other a second time throwing Coleman's car across the northbound lanes of Highway 67. It ran off the east side of the highway, and smashed into a dirt embankment. Coleman and Sutton, who were both wearing their seat belts during the accident, were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
