Hiring Event for Individuals with Disability

(St. Francois County, MO) A special hiring event for individuals who are collecting disability benefits, will be held Wednesday at Mineral Area College. The program will be presented by the LIFE Center for Independent Living at Farmington. The Center's Director of the Employment Network Department, Theresa Sherer, says October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and it's a great time to learn more about how to transition slowly off benefits and return to work.

The event is open to the public as well as disabled MAC students. The hiring program takes place at noon Wednesday in the MAC Library.
