Great Mines Health Center Holds Groundbreaking

(Farmington, MO) Great Mines Health Center held a groundbreaking at their future location in Farmington Monday morning.

Great Mines Health Center will be building a nearly 20,000 square foot outpatient medical, dental, behavioral health and substance abuse treatment service facility on a six-acre property, which will be accessible to all in the region. CEO Greg Roeback said a lot of planning went into this new facility.

The outpatient clinic will provide very high quality, affordable healthcare to the region, and will also include a pharmacy, radiology services, and podiatry - with chiropractic services planned for the future.

The Mobile Integrated Healthcare Network will also be part of the expansion project, in conjunction with the St. Francois County Ambulance District, who will assist the home-bound, partnering with Great Mines Health Center in performing in-home visits. This partnership, which is currently operating at the Great Mines Health Center in Potosi and Washington County, won first place national recognition and a $1 Million cash prize through the Health Resources & Services Administration’s Building Bridges to Better Health: A Primary Health Care Challenge.

The new facility will be located adjacent from Rural King and is expected to be complete in Summer of 2025.
