Government Regulations to Qualify Service Animals

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - St. Francois County Health Center officials can assist citizens with many types of health related information including regulations governing service animals.

The Center's Environmental Public Health Specialist, John Wiseman, says federal government regulations indicate a service animal provides a service to someone with a disability.

According to Wiseman, there are only two legal questions you are allowed to ask someone who says they have a service animal. The questions are; is this a service animal and what service does it provide to you?
