Fredericktown Police Give Update on Late-Night Armed Home Invasion

Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - Authorities in Fredericktown are investigating a violent home invasion that occurred late Thursday night in the 300 block of Albert Street.

At approximately 11:58 p.m. on December 12, the Fredericktown Police Department was dispatched to the scene after reports of armed intruders entering a residence and gunfire erupting.

According to initial findings, two masked individuals forced their way into the home, targeting three male occupants. Armed with firearms, the intruders encountered resistance when the homeowner confronted them. A struggle ensued, during which one of the offenders fired four shots to enable his accomplice to escape. Thankfully, no one was injured by the gunfire.

The swift investigation led to the apprehension of two Fredericktown residents, who now face multiple charges, including Robbery - 2nd Degree, Attempted Robbery - 2nd Degree, Burglary - 1st Degree and two counts of Assault - 1st Degree.

Bond for each suspect has been set at $500,000 cash only.

Authorities have identified a third suspect involved in the incident, who will be taken into custody once additional resources are secured.

This case remains under investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
