Fredericktown Man Injured in Crash

(Jefferson Co., MO) A Fredericktown man, 44 year old Joshua D. Minx, is recovering from moderate injuries after he was involved in a two vehicle crash in Jefferson County Tuesday morning at 7:16.

Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate the wreck took place in the northbound lanes of Interstate 55, north of Imperial Main Street. A diesel truck driven south, by 44 year old Derek E. Osborn of West Plains, had an equipment failure causing a wheel to cross over into the northbound lanes. The wheel struck the front of Minx's car. The vehicle rolled over as it ran off the right side of the highway.

Minx was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. Osborn was not injured. They were both wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
