Fire Destroys Scorpion Fence Work Shop

(Park Hills, MO) The building at 17 East Main in Park Hills is total loss and has been bulldozed down after it was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon. The building was the home of the work shop for Scorpion Fence and was, at one time known as the home of Friman's Furniture Outlet. According to Park Hills Fire Chief, Brad Weiss, the fire's origin was undetermined. Park Hills firefighters were called out about 12:10 with smoke and flames already pouring out the back of the building. Weiss adds the office for Scorpion Fence is in the building next door. It was not damaged. There were no injuries reported from the fire. Park Hills Firemen received help from the Leadington, Bismarck, Doe Run, West County, Farmington, Potosi, and Goose Creek Fire Departments. Members of the Terre Du Lac Fire Department manned the Park Ills station. Weiss explains he wants to thank the staff and management of Dominos Pizza for supplying firemen with pizza and drinks during the hours they were out in the cold fighting the blaze. The fire was brought under control within an hour.
