Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A fatal crash occurred Saturday afternoon on northbound Highway 67 at Highway CC in Jefferson County, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old woman from De Soto.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 3:47 p.m. when a 2010 Ford Expedition, driven by the woman, collided with the rear of a 2022 Peterbilt semi-truck. The semi, operated by a 47-year-old man from De Soto, was slowing down in the right lane due to traffic congestion when the Expedition struck it from behind.
The driver of the Ford Expedition was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by ambulance.
