Farmington Seeks Public Input on Columbia Street Lane Expansion Project

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Farmington is seeking public input on a proposed project to add a second westbound lane to Columbia Street, between Westmount Drive and the Highway 67 interchange.

The plan also includes adding a right turn lane on Columbia Street for northbound traffic onto Highway 67. The goal of the project is to improve traffic flow and reduce the daily backups that occur when the high school dismisses students. The city is applying for a Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) grant to cover 50% of the project costs, which are estimated to be $500,000.

Residents are encouraged to share their feedback by emailing crasnick@farmington-mo.gov by September 19, 2024.
