Farmington Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - 30-year-old Dillon J. Miller, of Farmington, has been arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control for possession and promoting child pornography. The arrest, which took place on September 5, 2024, followed an investigation led by the Special Victims Unit of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Farmington Police Department.

The investigation began in August 2024 when the Special Victims Unit conducted an online child pornography investigation and identified a device associated with Miller’s internet account. Acting on their findings, investigators executed a search warrant at Miller’s home in Farmington on September 5. Following the search, Miller was taken into custody and transported to the St. Francois County Jail.

Miller faces charges including one count of Promoting Child Pornography in the First Degree and three counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He is currently being held in the St. Francois County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

The Division of Drug and Crime Control urges internet users to report any suspicious or inappropriate online activity involving children to local law enforcement or the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
