Deck Facing Death Penalty Again

(Jefferson City, MO) The man convicted of robbing and killing James and Zelma Long at their DeSoto home in 1996, Carmen Deck, has a new execution date. Monday members of the Missouri Supreme Court announced the date of May 3rd, 2022, as the date for the sentence to be carried out. The order indicates during the 24 hour period, beginning at 6 pm May 3rd, under the supervision and direction of the Director of the Missouri Department of Corrections Deck shall suffer death. Deck has been sentenced to death for the crime several times and was always given a stay of execution before now.
